No Good Deed...

who hasn't heard the saying: "no good deed goes unpunished"? well it seems no matter how hard you try there's always something to overcome. obstacles. we know they are a part of life, but once hit with them we always wonder why. why me? well i guess it's about perspective. it's your personal take on things. what you make of it (the situation). we are all human beings and we go thru things that we don't understand, but once we have age and wisdom on us we began to see everything more clearly. so is the saying true: "no good deed goes unpunished"? i guess it's up to you. -janus

The Holi-days Are Here!

well the holi-days are here and now we have some choices to make about how we want to spend them. i saw a holiday movie a couple of months ago The Family Stone and i though it was a great movie about the holidays and how to take the pressure off. check it out. but anyways my laptop is down so i haven't been able to post b/c i don't have a backup yet. i'm really enjoying this forum to let all of my thoughts go in an uninterrupted structure. i've definitely got so many ideas and thoughts to share as this year ends and another approaches. but for now i'm signing off and wishing all that partake a happy holi-day season. peace and blessings. -J

p.s. R.I.P. Donda West, and thank you for Kanye.

"enough is enough"

at this point in my life i am choosing to not be politically correct. just as direct as i can. and with that said this generation is beginning to become more and more disgusting. believe me, i have tried to be the nice girl and not allow society and all it inhabitants to come in and alter my person but enough is enough. i refuse to think that it is wrong to see what goes on around me and act like it's not. i refuse to conform to this "party-all-the-time" b.s. that my age group seems to exhibit (twenty-somethings). this world is rapidly changing among us and in the process the media wants us to be ding-donged the whole time and not know until it's too late to change things. i'm really trying hard not to be debbie downer over here but our imaging system as well as our roles in society need a makeover. and to all of my peers with some sense to you i'm saying that we have to start becoming more responsible for our behavior and how we are portraying ourselves. i'm starting to feel like an old lady because i say no to drugs or liquor. didn't we grow up with the saying: "say no to drugs"? all of a sudden life itself has gotten a little too harsh, we don't know how to cope anymore so we stay drugged up (ding-donged) and without our minds more than 1/2 the time. i used to feel comfortable writing poetry, but i'm 'bout tired of sugarcoating and dumbing down our mishaps and trying to make them sound cool. news flash: this ain't cool what we are allowing to go on in our own backyard! and i know there may be people that might read this and say this or that about my own personal opinion but people need to wake up because the common people are losing this silent war and if we are not careful the king will devourer. -j

p.s. you know, i'm just tired of walking around seeing dead people. and i'm not on no 6th sense non-sense. i'm talking about people that don't want to add to society, they just want to take from it and spit on the ground. marvin you were right....what's going on???
